De La Soul: Signing to a Major Label Is Slavery (VIDEO)

Trugoy the Dove, Pasemaster Mase, and Posdnuos of the legendary trio De La Soul sat down with VladTV to drop a series of gems spanning topics from Drake to Native Tongues; along with a great one on signing to major labels and the industry.

The group recently had the second-most successful musical project in Kickstarter history, and raised $600k in efforts to successfully create a new album.

The group talks about how crowd funding has benefited them, with Maseo saying “You know, I told somebody this is the best record deal I ever had.”
