As hip hop fans know, MC Lyte is all about higher education.
A 19-year-old San Antonio student was recognized for a top graduate of Steve Harvey’s Mentoring Camp. On the Steve Harvey show a special surprised awaited the teen and his mother on national television.
The L.Y.T.E. crashed the show to award Rhodes with a $50,000 scholarship to Dillard on behalf of the Hip Hop Sisters Foundation and their #EducateOurMen initiative.
A speechless Rhodes graciously accepted his monster check as his mother, Linda Steele, burst into tears of joys. See the amazing video below.
