Help! My Toddler Has An Addiction

My daughter is 1.5 and her spirit lights up the room. She’s smart, pretty, funny and she has a serious addiction that can be summed up in one word….
Elmo.

I, like most loved ones, can’t tell you when the problem started all I know is it’s’ full blown. She loves that little squeaky voiced muppet. Her little toddler fingers flipping through YouTube videos from Elmo with India.Arie to Usher to Wil.i.am. (who appears to be either very high or extremely annoyed in this video).
God forbid I take the iPad away or (gulp) the battery is drained. Prepare for a Tsunami sized meltdown of tears and sorrow. I know with my son we had to cut off his Caillou addiction cold turkey (I can’t stand that whiny little Canadian). What is a parent to do?
