Most of you may not recognize the name Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie, but you sure do know his work. As the “Captain” of Bad Boy records production team called the Hitmen, he’s made a bevy of hits for artist like The Notorious B.I.G. (Hypnotize) , Mase (Feels So Good), The Lox (Money, Power, Respect) and Puff Daddy (It’s All About The Benjamins).
But when he stepped into the booth he created his alter ego “The Mad Rapper”, who may have been the first hater to appear on wax, a star was born. The Mad Rapper first appeared on Biggie’s “Life After Death” CD in 1997. His identity was concealed for several years although many in the industry knew it was Angelettie behind the antics.
Here is an appearance he made on 50 Cent’s “How To Rob”. (WARNING Explicit Language)
