Ice Cube: “I Have No Emotions” about the Death of Jerry Heller

After the news of the loss of veteran music manager and executive Jerry Heller, Ice Cube had some words about the co-founder of Ruthless Records.
Cube spoke with our sister station in Detroit Hot 107.5, the question about Heller’s death came up during the interview. Of course, Cube kept it 100:
In the N.W.A. movie Straight Outta Compton, Cube famously left the group after a dispute with Heller after unpaid royalties. Dr. Dre left soon after, citing similar difficulties. Heller always insisted he never did them wrong.
Heller’s attorney claims the movie caused him so much stress, it actually led to his death.
