Man Gets Date on Tinder Using Eminem “Stan” Lyrics

I guess you don’t have to be a Casanova these days to spark up romance, as a single guy on Tinder used a set of Eminem lyrics to pick up one woman.

“Stan,” which is a fictionalized story about the gradual unraveling of one of Em’s fans. In the song, “Stan” eventually kills the mother of his child in a fit of rage over not being able to gain Eminem’s attention.

Yikes.

So how would these lyrics work to get you coffee with the girl of your dreams?

Reddit user J_Goddard uploaded screenshots of a conversation between himself and a woman on Tinder, and we see that he’s altered some “Stan” lyrics just slightly enough to use them to flirt.

The message reads, “Now it’s too late, I’m on a thousand downers now, I’m drowsy/And all I wanted was a lousy letter or a call/I hope you know I ripped all of your pictures off the wall/I loved you–we could’ve been together – think about it!”

In a seemingly rare act of Internet courtesy, J_Goddard obscured his potential dating partner’s name after asking her if he could repost the conversation onto Reddit. She said yes.

Dating sure has changed over the years… lol
