Shooting for the Deadpool sequel had come to a stop following the death of a stunt woman on set in Vancouver today.

Eyewitnesses told local news the stunt actor did the scene four times perfectly, but on the fifth take the woman lost control of the bike and ran into a nearby building, through glass.

Production of Deadpool 2 began in late June with David Leitch as director. The film is highly anticipated and for weeks, both Ryan Reynolds and co-star Josh Brolin have been teasing updates on production.

In a statement a spokesperson for Fox offered:

“We are deeply saddened by the accident that occurred on the set of Deadpool 2 this morning.  Our hearts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of our crew member during this difficult time.”

Deadpool 2 has a June 1, 2018, release date.
