Janelle Monáe announced in a Rolling Stone interview published yesterday that she identified as a “black queer woman” before ultimately settling on “pansexual.” She’s not the only celebrity to come out as pansexual joining Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Sia and Angelina Jolie.
The word yesterday became the most searched term in the dictionary, both on Dictionary.com and Merriam-Webster.
In case you needed to know what the word means, pansexual is defined as “of, relating to, or characterized by sexual desire or attraction that is not limited to people of a particular gender identity or sexual orientation.” Or in the short: someone who loves whomever, regardless of sexuality or gender.
