Everyone keeps asking my why I dyed my hair baby blue and whether the specific color signifies anything.

The answer: no, it doesn’t stand for a particular cause. I just LOVE this hue. But there are a few factors that contributed to my decision. Here they are:

  1. To stay ahead of the trend. I hate being a follower. I like to be the one to say “I did it first.” Right now, it is a taboo idea for guys to have colorful hair. I stand firm in the belief that everyone will start doing it soon.
  2. To get outside of my comfort zone. Typically, I’m more reserved. For 20 years, I’ve worn my hair short and even. It wasn’t until recently that I started playing around with it and trying new s***. I grew it out. I shaved the sides. I added parts. And now color. It’s apart of my inner-growth. Have fun with life. Experiment. Don’t take things too seriously.
  3. I have a job that allows me to be free. Everyone is not able to live life on the edge. There’s a lot of things that you can get away with in the media world that aren’t socially acceptable in corporate environments. I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity that I have right now. I never know when I may get again.
